We are seeking a self-motivated and committed Social Work Assistant to join the Ramsgate Social Work and Children and Young Persons Services.
The role focuses on supporting the statutory responsibilities of social workers, including supervising contacts, working directly with vulnerable children, young people, and their families or carers, and assisting social workers with other tasks.
Our services work with Children in Care, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases. Candidates should possess good communication and IT skills, be able to observe and record information effectively, and understand the needs of children, young people, and their families. The position offers high-quality supervision and collaboration with team members.
This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
As a customer-facing position, the council requires that post holders have sufficient spoken English/Welsh to perform the job effectively, in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Standards are detailed in the Job Description/Person Specification.
