Overview We are recruiting two Community Senior Practitioners (Designated Senior Officers) to join the North Kent Adult Safeguarding Team. In this hybrid role, you will work in office and from home to provide support to adults with a range of care needs. Your work will be centred on the individual, building relationships with families and carers, and engaging communities to empower local support.
Responsibilities Conduct Care Act and Mental Capacity Act assessments.
Prepare Court of Protection applications and S42 safeguarding enquiries.
Manage risk and complete safeguarding enquiries.
Supervise, coach, and develop staff, including performance management.
Apply strengths‑based practice to achieve client outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services.
Qualifications Post‑qualification experience as a Social Worker in social services, health or voluntary sector.
Registered with Social Work England and competent at the Advanced Practitioner level of the Professional Capabilities Framework.
Experience in risk management and safeguarding.
Demonstrated expertise in staff supervision and development.
Positive, forward‑thinking attitude with a strengths‑based approach.
Full UK Driving Licence or ability to work with reasonable adjustments for disability.
Optionally, registered nurses or occupational therapists with relevant experience and professional body registration (HCPC, Nursing and Midwifery Council).
