Senior Practitioner Out of Hours Service (KSI + Β£10,000 P/A fixed OOH Market Premium)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Kent\’s Front Door Out of Hours Service. We are seeking to recruit to our highly motivated, friendly, and supportive team!

The Out of Hours Service provides essential urgent social work cover for children and adults across Kent and Medway. The role offers a unique opportunity to broaden social work knowledge and skills, as well as an alternative to standard daytime working hours.

The successful candidate will manage and respond to complex and urgent cases to a high standard, deputise for the team manager when required, and work independently as well as part of a small team.

Contracted hours are equivalent to 37 hours per week, worked across a rota period.

We are looking for a Senior Practitioner who:

  • Can work evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Is committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Is resilient, flexible, adaptable, forward-thinking, and positive about improving services outside normal working hours.
  • Can work quickly and under pressure while maintaining excellent risk assessment skills.
  • Has excellent leadership and communication skills, and is competent in and committed to the use of information technology.
  • Has experience of or is interested in broadening their knowledge to include working with adults, including adult protection.
  • Is seeking a change from routine and new professional challenges.
  • Can cope with the demands of shift work outside usual office hours.
  • Contributes to an inclusive working environment that values diversity.
