An opportunity has arisen in our team as a Senior Transport and Development Planner for Tunbridge Wells. This is a permanent position at grade KSH (£41,782 to £46,606). You will be supported to work flexibly from home and at KCC and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council offices.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Joint working on the Local Plan
- Advising on the transport aspects of development sites and planning applications
- Securing funding and coordinating the delivery of schemes
This is an exciting role for a motivated transport and development planner looking to broaden their experience working on delivering transport initiatives as part of a supportive team. The role will require developing a good knowledge of roads and travel in the local area. Candidates must therefore live within a reasonable distance to undertake office work and site visits. Mileage can only be claimed for site visits from your designated office.
This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence. The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive, your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
