This role offers a career in project management within a supportive and high-performing PMO. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Programme & Project Support to join our Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The role is central to ensuring the smooth and effective running of our programmes and projects, providing high-quality coordination, administrative support and data management across a diverse portfolio of strategic priorities that make a positive difference to services and residents across Kent.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional support to Portfolio Managers, Programme and Project Managers and Officers to enable successful delivery of priorities.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record actions and track progress to ensure delivery stays on track.
- Support the development, organisation and maintenance of programme and project documentation.
- Collect, analyse and manage data and information to support programme reporting and decision-making.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of workshops, presentations and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Maintain and support PMO systems and processes (including Office 365 tools such as Teams, SharePoint and Excel).
- Provide support on financial and commercial activities, including purchase orders and invoice processing.
Qualifications
- Highly organised with excellent administrative and coordination skills.
- Experience supporting programmes, projects or business operations.
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and solution-focused approach to work.
