We\βre looking for a creative and driven Marketing & Communications Support Officer to join our Marketing & Resident Experience Team within the Deputy Chief Executive\βs Department.
This exciting new role will support a two-year waste reduction programme led by Kent County Council\βs Environment Team.
You\βll be at the heart of delivering targeted, consistent, and impactful communications that encourage residents to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. From developing engaging digital content to placing advertising and evaluating campaign effectiveness, your work will help Kent meet its environmental goals, statutory obligations, and unlock significant financial savings.
What You\βll Do
- Create compelling digital content including social media graphics, videos and written copy to support behaviour change campaigns.
- Plan, buy and manage advertising across social media, digital and offline channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams, local councils and external partners to ensure consistent messaging.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance using analytics tools.
- Coordinate the production of print and publicity materials.
- Advise on campaign planning and contribute to strategic communications.
- Manage production workflows to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
You\βll be a confident communicator with a passion for sustainability and behaviour change. You\βll bring:
- A professional qualification in marketing/communications (e.g. CIM) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in delivering integrated marketing campaigns across paid, earned, shared and owned media.
- Strong skills in social media management, digital advertising (e.g. Facebook Ads, Google Ads), and basic graphic design tools like Canva.
- Excellent written English and a creative eye for engaging content.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
