KCC's in-house legal team is an innovative and ambitious legal service which has recently expanded, and we are looking for an enthusiastic lawyer, who is committed to supporting our clients, to join our Public Law and Litigation Team. We are a friendly and dedicated team, investing in staff through training and development and offering interesting and varied work across a full range of disciplines.

This is an exceptional opportunity to undertake varied, high-quality work with like-minded and supportive colleagues who are dedicated to public service and making a difference to local communities.

The successful candidate(s) will undertake a caseload of public law and litigation matters which may include Judicial Reviews, discrimination claims, Human Rights Act claims, money claims, and debt recovery, providing prompt, clear and accurate advice. You will also commission external advice where appropriate to assist in the delivery of the Council's services and priorities.

The successful candidate(s) will have previous experience in public law and litigation and will be passionate about teamwork. Good client care skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with others is essential.
