Fixed Term Contract for 9 months, for internal KCC staff a 9 month Secondment. We are recruiting for a Pension Fund & Investments Officer (KSF) to join Kent County Council’s Treasury & Investment Team. Whilst we are advertising this role as full-time (37 hours a week), we also welcome applications from part-time applicants, who would be willing to work a minimum of 30 hours a week.
The primary location for this role is Maidstone, Kent, whereby the successful candidate will undertake both working at home and in the office, according to business needs. Due to the current workload of the team, this vacancy is offered as a 9-month Secondment opportunity to internal KCC applicants, and offered as a 9-month Fixed Term Contract to external applicants.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for an interesting and varied financial role, with the chance to gain experience whilst working across many aspects of Treasury & Investments. You will undertake tasks that contribute to Kent Pension Fund (part of the Local Government Pension Scheme) and KCC’s Treasury services. You will support and assist senior colleagues in preparing information and collating data.
The post requires someone with excellent IT skills and the post holder must be able to handle the calculation of complex financial models and the presentation of results in a clear and coherent format. As such, the post holder will have previous experience of working in a finance environment, and some knowledge and understanding of investments and accounting transactions.
