In Kent, our approach to the 'Turnaround' programme is to enhance our Adolescent Early Help offer by providing specialist education, training, and employment support, to maximise attendance, engagement, and attainment of a target group of children. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
We're looking to recruit an Education, Training and Employment (ETE) Officer for our Turnaround team. Posts are funded by the Ministry of Justice until the end of March 2029. ETE Officers are required for the following areas: North Kent (Swale) and West Kent (Maidstone) and will be aligned to, and working alongside, the Adolescent Early Help unit in that area, and line managed by the Unit Lead.
