As a Family Hub Practitioner, you'll work within our Family Hub team, providing 1:1 and group support to young people (aged 11‑19, or up to 25 with SEND) and their families across Swanley and Edenbridge. You'll collaborate closely with Integrated Children’s Services and a range of multi‑agency partners—including schools, police, and community organisations—to improve outcomes for vulnerable young people.
You'll deliver focused support through both in‑person and digital channels, helping families navigate challenges such as mental health, exploitation, substance misuse, and family relationships. You'll also lead parenting workshops, facilitate peer groups, and contribute to safeguarding strategies within the district.

This role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend work, and travel between Swanley and Edenbridge Family Hubs. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer‑facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

You'll bring experience working with vulnerable young people and families, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
