Overview
In this role you support the Turnaround programme by delivering specialist ETE help to improve attendance, engagement and attainment for a targeted group of children. You will work closely with the Adolescent Early Help unit to provide practical, hands-on support to children and their families. The post is funded by the Ministry of Justice until 2029 and involves a customer-facing, multi-agency context with enhanced DBS requirements. You will be part of a local team serving South Kent areas and contribute to a high-impact education and employment initiative.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialist education, training and employment support to improve attendance, engagement and attainment
- Collaborate with the Adolescent Early Help unit and local partners to deliver integrated ETE interventions
- Develop and implement ETE plans for assigned areas (South 2 Kent and South Kent)
- Engage directly with children and families to offer practical advice and support
- Liaise with schools, training providers and employers to secure opportunities
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation on attendance, inclusion and part-time tables
- Operate in a customer-facing capacity and contribute to multi-agency working
Key requirements
- Knowledge of the education, training and employment landscape, including legislation and practice relating to part-time tables, inclusion and attendance
- Motivation, resilience and hands-on service delivery to children and families
- Ability to work in a line-managed structure within the Adolescent Early Help unit
- English/Welsh competence sufficient for the role (as required)
