An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a key part of the Streetworks service within Kent County Council Highways. As a Streetworks Technical Support Officer, you will be providing a front-line service dealing with customers reporting issues with Streetworks on the highway network.
You will be responsible for the administrative support for all works on the highway network including processing and monitoring of permits, licenses for temporary traffic lights, skips, scaffolds, hoardings and other activities.
You will need to be an excellent team player and work closely with Streetworks Coordinators and Inspectors to deliver great customer service, ensure works are well managed, safe and deliver the minimum disruption to the travelling public.
Kent County Council has been an industry leader in managing works on the public Highway through an innovative permit system. You will be working in a dynamic team dedicated to keeping Kent moving.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
