We have an exciting opportunity for an Enablement Support Worker with one of the country’s biggest and most diverse Local Authorities. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the KEaH Canterbury Enablement Team, with an office based at Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, covering Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay and surrounding areas. The Kent Enablement at Home service is one of the leaders in its field. Enablement is all about taking an individual on a journey to independence or reducing the long-term care needs. This would be through planned support with aspects of daily living including personal care, whilst working for and alongside a structured team to include the Enablement Locality Organiser, Enablement Supervisors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and various multi-agency partners in KCC and health.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Skills to empower the people on our service to support them to reach their personal goals and maximise their independence
  • Ability to travel across the required geographical area
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the fast-changing business needs
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development
