We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the KEaH Shepway Enablement Team. With an office based at Kroner House Ashford, covering Folkestone, Hythe, Romney Marsh and surrounding areas.
The Kent Enablement at Home service is one of the leaders in its field. With excellent work benefits and one of the most comprehensive training programmes we believe in investing in both our staff as well as the residents of Kent.
Enablement is all about taking an individual on a journey to independence or reducing the long-term care needs. This would be through planned support with aspects of daily living including personal care, whilst working for and alongside a structured team to include the Enablement Locality Organiser, Enablement Supervisors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist and various multi agency partners in KCC and health.

Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with a diverse range of people and challenging situations
- Skills to empower the people on our service to support them to reach their personal goals and maximise their independence
- Ability to travel across the required geographical area
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to the fast-changing business needs
- Basic knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems
- Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development, This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
- The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day (during shift hours) is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport.
