We have an exciting opportunity for an Enablement Support Worker with one of the country’s biggest and most diverse Local Authorities. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the KEaH Dover Enablement Team, with an office based at Dover Civic Centre, covering Dover, Sandwich, Aylesham, Ash, Capel-Le-Ferne, Deal and surrounding areas. The Kent Enablement at Home service is one of the leaders in its field. Enablement is all about taking an individual on a journey to independence or reducing long-term care needs through planned support with aspects of daily living including personal care, whilst working for and alongside a structured team that includes the Enablement Locality Organiser, Enablement Supervisors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and various multi-agency partners in KCC and health.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Skills to empower the people on our service to support them to reach their personal goals and maximise their independence
  • Ability to travel across the required geographical area
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to fast-changing business needs
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day (during shift hours) is essential.
