We currently have opportunities for Experienced Occupational Therapists to join our Dartford and Gravesham and West Kent Short Term Pathways Teams. We offer an excellent induction and ongoing training package, to facilitate you to develop your expertise within moving and handling, enablement techniques, specialist equipment and major adaptations, thus ensuring that the people we support receive high quality, personalised interventions that genuinely improve lives.
You will receive regular individual supervision from a registered Occupational Therapy Lead and a tailored personal development plan to enable you to develop your career pathway within Kent and be the best that you can be. Kent County Council is committed to flexible and hybrid working opportunities and although we complete our assessments and interventions within a person's own residence or short-term assessment bed setting, our Occupational Therapists work their non-clinical time between an office base and/or their home.
Kent County Council is also committed to ensuring that it is increasingly accessible to the public outside of traditional office hours and although Occupational Therapists are not working on a rota basis to deliver a service seven days per week, this may be required in the future. This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence - The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
