We are searching for Business Support Officers who will play a pivotal role in helping our organisation operate efficiently and effectively. You will be joining the Adult Social Care and Health Business Support Division, which has around 300 business support professionals that deliver support to our frontline services empowering our residents to live their lives the way they want to.

This role will be based onsite at the Yew Tree Community Day Centre, Dartford, supporting the Community Day Service in Adult Social Care & Health. Community Day Services provide opportunities throughout the day Monday - Friday to adults with a learning disability with varying complexities of assessed support needs, to ensure that it meets the needs of people who draw on care and support.

As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the service by providing high-quality administrative and operational support to the team. Experience working in a business support or administrative role, ideally within a social care or health setting is highly desirable.

What you'll be doing:

  • Advocate for our clients and champion adult social care and health, acting as a point of contact; assessing and resolving telephone queries, mailbox monitoring and production and distribution of correspondence and documentation.
  • Cover reception and support with visitors and contractors.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process for new staff and support staff inductions.
  • Coordinate a range of meetings, including production of agendas, taking and producing minutes.
  • Maintain financial processes, including preparing invoices, investigating queries and ensuring financial records are accurate.
  • Data entry into a range of systems, resolution of queries and input into development of monitoring processes.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in business support, administration, or a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and other office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude and a passion for problem-solving.
  • A positive, can-do mindset with a commitment to delivering high quality work.
  • Ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.

This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence.
