Responsibilities include processing certificate orders for birth, death, marriage and civil partnership certificates in Kent; advising the public on requirements and standards for obtaining copy certificates; scanning register entries using registration databases and handwriting certificates; answering general enquiries from customers and providing the highest standards of customer care to both internal and external customers.
You will be required to provide an excellent level of customer service dealing with customers face to face, over the telephone or via e-mail. You should be able to communicate effectively and have excellent organisational skills. You will need legible handwriting and proficiency in Internet packages, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You should be able to prioritise to meet deadlines, be flexible and a team player.
This post will be based in Tunbridge Wells. Working days required are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
The Council has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
