This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Kent County Council, Country Parks team who provide leisure, educational, events, venue hire and café services across 9 Country Parks in Kent. Country Parks are looking for a Café supervisor to work at one of their country park cafes at Shorne Woods Country Park.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in catering. You will be expected to hold a Level 3 Food Safety certificate. You will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, driving team performance and ensuring a seamless service experience that aligns with our standards.
Key responsibilities:- Managing daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring all health, safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
- Supervising and training of staff.
- Overseeing stock levels.
- Minimising wastage.
- Acting as the primary point of escalation for customer concerns, resolving issues in a professional manner.
The individual needs to be organised with strong customer service skills to ensure that visitors to the parks receive a quality café experience. You will report to the Catering Services Manager who is responsible for the four Country Park café sites.
The role available is for contracted hours every Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Shifts will vary between 8.30am to 5.30pm on a scheduled basis, adjusting seasonally.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
