We currently have opportunity for an Experienced Occupational Therapist to join our East Kent Community Teams.
This post is a flexible position requiring travel across East Kent providing cover across 5 teams - Ashford, Canterbury, Shepway, Dover/Deal and Thanet.
Office base to be discussed at interview.
We offer an excellent induction and ongoing training package, to facilitate you to develop your expertise within moving and handling, enablement techniques, specialist equipment and major adaptations, thus ensuring that the people we support receive high quality, personalised interventions that genuinely improve lives.
You will receive regular individual supervision from a registered Occupational Therapy Lead and a tailored personal development plan to enable you to develop your career pathway within Kent and be the best that you can be.
Kent County Council is committed to flexible and hybrid working opportunities and although we complete our assessments and interventions within a person's own residence or short-term assessment bed setting, our Occupational Therapists work their non-clinical time between an office base and/or their home.
Kent County Council is also committed to ensuring that it is increasingly accessible to the public outside of traditional office hours and although Occupational Therapists are not working on a rota basis to deliver a service seven days per week, this may be required in the future.
Ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner to ensure the needs of the service are met, including evening and weekend working when required.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
