Overview
In this role you will lead the Planning and Place theme of the Kent Downs Team, using land use planning and design guidance to deliver the statutory Management Plan. You will influence development plans, respond to consultations and planning applications, and contribute to EiPs and Public Inquiries where required. You will also produce and promote new guidance documents. The role sits in a multidisciplinary, customer-facing team focused on conserving and enhancing the Kent Downs landscape. Responsibilities
- Lead the Planning and Place theme within the Kent Downs Team to deliver the Management Plan
- Apply land use planning and design guidance to shape development and policy
- Respond to consultations and planning applications; participate in EiPs and Public Inquiries as needed
- Contribute to the preparation and promotion of new guidance documents
- Collaborate across a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects and strategy
- Engage with stakeholders and provide expert planning advice to internal and external partners
