Overview
Gateway Customer Service Advisor – Ashford Gateway Plus, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1AS. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Full-time front-line customer services role with potential flexibility to work at other Gateway sites such as Tenterden Gateway.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance to a wide range of customers, assisting them to access services.
- Adapt communication style to match individual needs and demonstrate excellent people skills.
- Collate, manage and keep up-to-date a knowledge base of information to support customers.
- Work independently using personal initiative, remaining resilient and confident when handling a variety of enquiries and situation-driven challenges.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments, supporting the Gateway Co-ordinator in the efficient running of the Gateway.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor style to various customers.
- Strong organisational and information-management abilities.
- Resilient, confident and capable of working under own initiative.
- Command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the role, as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
- Subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
