An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Lead within Integrated Children's Services in the South Kent, Children in Care Service, based at Westchurch House, Ashford. The role also supports teams in Ashford and Dover. Kent Integrated Children's Service provides a wide range of support to Kent's children and young people across Early Help and Preventative Services and Children's Social Work Services. The Business Support teams play a vital role supporting front line teams and practitioners through provision of professional administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of Business Support Staff to ensure the effective and smooth running of the Business Support provision.
- Maintain and improve processes and systems so that they remain effective, up to date and accurate.
- Proactively manage workload and workload of the team while responding to urgent requests and deadlines.
- Deliver an integrated and highly effective business support service.
- Ensure that children, young people and families are at the heart of everything we do.
- Work together, share knowledge and support each other.
- Innovate and improve.
- Promote continuous personal and professional development.
- Act as a customer‑facing post holder with a command of spoken English (and Welsh where necessary) sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements, in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
- Provide excellent organisational and communication support to frontline teams, using strong administrative, minuting and IT skills and collating and managing data.

You must have excellent organisational and communication skills, a calm and organised approach and be able to make a positive contribution to the success of the team.
