Administration Officer - Occupational Therapy Team

An opportunity has arisen for a full‑time motivated and committed Administration Officer to join the Countywide Disabled Children & Young People's Occupational Therapy Service.

Kent County Council offers a hybrid working model with a combination of home and office working. The post will be based in The Rainbow Centre, Ashford.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Occupational Therapy Team.
  • Maintain and manage databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date records.
  • Handle enquiries from members of the public, responding to duty queries by telephone and through a shared email inbox.
  • Prioritise and manage competing demands on time, maintaining an organised and efficient working system.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and under formal supervision to achieve service objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong office skills, computer literacy, and confidence working with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, including telephone and email etiquette.
  • Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
  • Competent command of spoken English (and Welsh, if applicable) as required by the Immigration Act (2016) for customer‑facing roles.
