We are looking to appoint an experienced Nurse to work in our Medical Centre. The Medical Centre is an 8 bedded unit which provides 24-hour nursing care and support to all pupils. The medical provision is primarily health care, minor injuries, illness assessment and treatment, medicine management and care plans for long-term conditions. We have a strong focus on general health and wellbeing, as well as pastoral care and safeguarding.

Applicants will require a qualification in nursing, and will preferably have experience of working in a similar environment. They will hold a minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse with the NMC.

The position is 43 hours on average per fortnight, term time only (35 weeks per year), following this shift pattern:

  • Week One: Weds & Thurs - 14:45 to 21:15, Sat - 07:30 to 19:30, Sun - On Call from 11:30 - 21:15
  • Week Two: Fri & Sat - 14:45 to 21:15, Sun - On Call from 07:30 - 21:00

Kent College is a co-educational school with a Methodist foundation. The school is located in Canterbury, just one hour from the centre of London by train. The Senior School (11 – 18 years) has some 600 boys and girls, approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day. The school was graded as excellent in all categories in the recent inspection conducted by ISI in October 2022, the Independent Schools Inspectorate that conducts inspections on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education.
