The predicted salary is between 34024 - 41584 Β£ per year.

We are looking for a part-time temporary teacher (in the region of 0.6 FTE) of English for January, who will be directly responsible to the Head of Department. There may be the opportunity to make the role a full-time temporary role, which will be discussed with candidates at interview.

Specific responsibilities of the English role will include:

  • Teaching English across all key stages, as required;
  • Being actively involved in curricular and extracurricular activities with the department contributing to the department and school development plans;
  • Keeping up-to-date records of teaching and student progress;
  • Keeping up-to-date with developments in the teaching of English;
  • Familiarising oneself with various specifications for the examinations their students are preparing for;
  • Working with colleagues and sharing good progress.

Situated in Canterbury, just one hour from the centre of London by train, Kent College is a co-educational school with a Methodist foundation. Our Senior School (11 to 18 years) has some 600 pupils, with approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day.
