We are seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and energetic teacher to lead the department of Psychology from September 2026. Taking the department forward positively with an ambitious and inspiring approach, building on the considerable success to date.

Psychology is quickly becoming one of the most popular A Level options in the 6th form for students at Kent College. We are looking for an inspiring Subject Lead responsible for leading the department, and delivering and planning of the A Level Psychology specification AQA.

The Psychology department at Kent College is a single‑person department, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, as well as being confident in their subject knowledge. It is preferable that the successful candidate has experience of teaching another academic subject, enabling them to make a full and wider contribution to the educational life of Kent College.

Kent College is a co‑educational school with a Methodist foundation. The school is located in Canterbury, just one hour from the centre of London by train. The Senior School (11‑18 years) has some 600 pupils, approximately one‑third boarding and two‑thirds day.
