Job Overview

We are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join us at Kent College, Canterbury from January 2026. The Payroll Advisor will be responsible for the provision of expert payroll services including the submission of all monthly and end‑of‑year statutory returns to HMRC and our various pension schemes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll and statutory returns to HMRC.
  • Manage multiple pension schemes and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain payroll records and provide reports to senior management.
  • Work with payroll systems and support continuous improvement of payroll processes.
  • Assist with payroll queries and issues raised by staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 CIPP qualification.
  • Experience with payroll systems and managing multiple pension schemes.
  • Experience working in an independent school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
