Meet the team: Our Club 21 site is a lively day service provision that supports 8 individuals (male & female). The service is based on three floors and has individual areas as well as communal areas to meet the needs of the people they support. The individuals participate in a wide range of activities within the community including horse riding, swimming, visiting local zoos and museums, and attending courses at the local adult education centre. They also enjoy baking back at Club 21. The specialist staff team is looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to their award-winning team.

About the Support Worker Role
- Hours: 37.5 hours a week across 5 days
- Fixed term until Feb 2027
- Shift: Monday to Friday 9am‑4.30pm
- Location: Brompton High Street, Gillingham
This is a permanent position working for a very well-established autistic care provider. Very interesting and varied role with a scope for progression. KAT provides practical and emotional support to ensure the adults we care for enjoy active lives in the community. We support individuals on a 1:1 basis with complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities.
We are an outstanding care employer and very proud of the specialist PBS training, coaching, and ongoing support that our practice development team provides to our staff.

Tasks / Responsibilities of a Support Worker (may include but not limited to)
- Drive a mobility car or service vehicle. UK Manual License required (ESSENTIAL)
- Working with individuals who can display challenging behaviours and mental health issues
- Support individuals within the community in activities such as bike rides, long walks & shopping
- Administering medication
- Assisting individuals with personal care and hygiene
- Be confident & experienced in lone working
- Household management tasks including cooking, cleaning etc.
- Uphold their privacy, confidentiality, and dignity
- Handle money to shop, going to the bank etc.
- Work with and support individuals with additional needs, such as epilepsy, pica, learning disabilities
- Form good working relationships with other members of staff across different services
- Ensuring written records are correctly maintained
