We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to enhance the clinical pharmacy services within Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. This role offers an innovative clinical environment focusing on patient-centered care in inpatient and community settings, with opportunities for professional growth and work-life balance. The position is part of the Kent and Medway Community Mental Health Transformation Programme, supporting patients with severe mental illness (SMI) to lead independent lives. The Pharmacy Technician will work at St Martins Hospital in Canterbury, engaging in inpatient and community pharmacy services, emphasizing medicine safety and management. Main duties of the job include:

  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team
  • Delivering comprehensive medicine management, focusing on medicines reconciliation, discharge facilitation, patient counseling, medicines supply, and supporting clinics for clozapine and depot injections
  • Participating in audits, teaching, and supporting clozapine supply and monitoring in the community, including near-patient testing
