The Expert by Experience Perinatal Provider Collaborative Lead post is crucial in embedding and creating new ways of involving service users and carers across the South East Region Perinatal Provider Collaborative. The Provider Collaborative aims to ensure women requiring inpatient care for acute perinatal mental health issues receive specialist support as close to home as possible, connected with local teams and networks. This role focuses on strong leadership in involving people who use Perinatal services and their carers/families. It includes planning and delivering perinatal mental health services to improve service user and carer experiences through new insights and perspectives.
You will work strategically across the South East Region PC to develop and implement participation strategies, project manage various work streams, and ensure practice aligns with the Trust’s social inclusion strategies. You will collaborate with partner organisations such as ICBs, local authorities, and voluntary sectors to innovate healthcare in line with the NHS Long-Term Plan. You will work with the Management Team to ensure a consistent approach across the collaborative.
Main duties of the job
- Hold the SE Region PC accountable for activity related to the participation of service users and carers.
- Lead work streams supporting the participation agenda, ensuring coordinated practice.
- Support, upskill, and encourage service users and carers to participate in various activities.
- Develop a pool of service users and carers across the SE Region for effective involvement in meetings, interviews, and activities.
- Produce reports on issues and progress against the annual plan.
