The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients with complex mental health needs manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works in close partnership with Social Care and housing providers to ensure each client has the necessary resources available to enable them to engage in their rehab journey. Across the Community Rehabilitation teams, the clinical team consists of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and VCSE Workers.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our new North Kent Community Rehabilitation Service. Individuals will be expected to ensure the team is able to provide input between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 according to the needs of the service, including working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities- Identify, develop and provide the Occupational Therapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for identified service users.
- Manage a defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence based, service user centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
- Provide supervision to designated junior staff and students.

The role is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley and is part of a service that aims to provide input during core hours while accommodating some evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by service needs.
Requirements- The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
