Our client is seeking an experienced Lab Leader with a strong background in prosthetic dental technology to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance, output, and leadership of a specialist dental laboratory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the wider team, managing workflow, communicating with dentists, maintaining quality standards, and contributing directly to prosthetic production. This role would suit a senior dental technician, department lead, lab manager, or experienced prosthetic technician who is confident leading people while remaining technically active at the bench.
Laboratory Leadership and Operations- Lead the day-to-day running of the laboratory, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard.
- Support the delivery of commercial and operational targets, including productivity, quality, output, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, capacity, efficiency, and overall laboratory performance.
- Maintain high standards across quality, compliance, health and safety, and internal procedures.
- Carry out hands-on prosthetic dental work as part of the weekly role split.
- Produce high-quality removable prosthetics, including full and partial dentures.
- Lead, motivate, and support the laboratory team.
- Help build a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture.
- Support training, development, and performance improvement across the team.
- Provide guidance to technicians and help maintain strong communication between departments.
- Support staff engagement, retention, and succession planning where required.
Strong background in prosthetic dental technology.
Previous experience in a dental laboratory environment.
Experience leading a team, department, or laboratory operation.
Strong understanding of workflow, quality standards, and laboratory performance.
Technically confident in prosthetic dental work.
Commercially aware and performance focused.
Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
