We’re looking for a New Business Consultant to join our growing team and play a vital role in handling inbound enquiries, building strong intermediary relationships, and ensuring a smooth, quality‑driven application journey for our brokers and customers.
What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will:
- Manage inbound calls from brokers, solicitors, and applicants—delivering first‑class service within agreed SLAs.
- Support brokers with criteria, policy and pre‑submission queries, helping convert enquiries into high‑quality applications.
- Build strong relationships with the Field Sales team and Underwriters to streamline processes and elevate service.
- Ensure applications, valuations, and correspondence meet product and policy requirements.
- Handle complaints in line with our procedures and always act fairly, professionally, and with customer outcomes front of mind.
- Uphold regulatory standards, including Financial Crime prevention and the correct handling of Vulnerable Customers.
- Experience managing high volumes of inbound calls in a sales or operational setting.
- Strong administrative or processing background.
- Financial Services experience (mortgage expertise is a big plus!).
- Solid understanding of the mortgage market and Kensington’s product range.
- Confidence using multiple systems and working to key SLAs and performance targets.
- Strong product, criteria, and competitor awareness.
- A commercially aware mindset with the ability to support internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in sales, operations, or admin‑based roles.
