Are you, or someone you know, passionate about football and eager to make a positive impact in the community? Join us as a Football Coach at Kensington Dragons! There is an opportunity to join the Dragons as a Coach and guide a team of young people through the highs and lows of a full league season.
We are dedicated to promoting teamwork, wellbeing, and physical fitness among young people, and we need enthusiastic individuals like you to help us achieve our mission. Working hours, age group and remuneration to be discussed at interview.
About Us
The Dragons are a community football club and registered charity based around north Kensington and Wormwood Scrubs. We work with over 300 local young people every week, delivering football programmes and fostering a cohesive, diverse and happy community by improving the lives of the next generation. Playing for the Dragons is free at every age group, so we are reliant on a fantastic team of inspirational volunteers who deliver change every week on the pitch. Our 1st Team play in the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division.
About You:
- A passion for football and youth development.
- Previous coaching experience is a plus, but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate young players.
- Live in or are able to get to west London regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide a team of players through a full season, delivering training weekly and managing league matches.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages regulr participation and personal growth.
- Provide constructive feedback to help players develop their skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with parents and other volunteers to create a supportive network.
- Gain valuable coaching experience and skills.
- Gain qualifications – we pay the cost of FA coaching courses
- Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people in your community.
- Build connections with other passionate coaches and volunteers.
- Receive ongoing support from our experienced team.
