The Role
We are looking for a talented science technician to join our science department from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is considering a career in education or is keen to use their laboratory skills or science background to support our high‑performing and dynamic group of science teachers.
Responsibilities
Manage preparation and clearing of equipment for practical science each week.
Manage a fully stocked science prep room, including maintenance and monitoring of science equipment and resources, and keep the department health and safety policy up to date.
Qualifications
- Experience of secondary school science, preferably with experience as a laboratory technician.
- Experience of GCSE and A Level practical work.
- Experience preparing hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials for school laboratory use.
- A high level of drive and motivation.
- Excellent organisational and inter‑personal skills and ability to work under pressure.
