About the Role
The Laboratory Leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site operations, leading a skilled team, driving performance, and ensuring the business achieves its growth and financial targets. This role requires a commercially minded leader with the ability to inspire, innovate, and deliver results in a fast-paced technical environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive Results: Lead the lab’s success by meeting and exceeding financial and operational goals with a strategic, growth-focused approach.
- Business Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement annual sales and profit plans that drive sustainable growth.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team that embodies a culture of ambition, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Boost Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Champion the Brand: Represent the organisation locally, ensuring compliance with quality assurance and Health & Safety standards.
- Engage & Inspire: Promote a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture through effective communication and team engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in driving business performance.
- Experience in general management and leadership, ideally within a technical or manufacturing environment.
