We're looking for a Marketing Account Manager who can handle creating marketing strategies and briefs one day, and turn their hand to nurturing our clients the next. You'll play a pivotal role in the agency, sitting in the middle of our creative engine. You'll need to keep projects on track, clients smiling and ideas flowing. You'll also become part of the future development of the agency, creating trusted relationships with existing clients, whilst looking for opportunities to work with new and exciting leads. You'll be the bridge between our creative teams and a portfolio of your own clients, turning ambitious briefs into organised, brilliantly delivered campaigns. One day you'll be helping a client develop a strategy to meet their objectives, the next you're crafting on brand messaging to support a campaign, or developing briefs for our creative teams. This role is 100% office based, so you'll need to be able to travel to and from the studio independently. There's easy motorway access and plenty of free parking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Build timelines that actually work in real life, structuring projects so the right people are in the right place at the right time. Review client assets, sense check briefs, and make sure everything is on brand and ready to fly.
- Briefing & Team Activation: Translate client speak into clear, actionable briefs that excite the team. Make sure everyone knows what they're doing, why it matters and when it's due. Write clear, accurate copy for things like scripts, webpages, social posts, etc.
- Client Comms & Planning: Keep clients in the loop without them needing to chase. Watch timelines, spot issues before they explode and effectively plan ahead.
- Revision Management & Budget Protection: Gather and organise feedback so it's clear and actionable. Handle scope changes like a pro - protecting budgets, timelines and sanity while being transparent about impacts.
- Quality Assurance & Standards: Sense check creative against the brief, brand and objectives before it hits the client's inbox. Make sure what we deliver not only meets expectations, but quietly shows off a bit too.
- Client management: Get under the skin of the client's world - their goals, pressure points and opportunities. Learn the language of their industry and where they sit in the market. Use insights to shape better recommendations and smarter work.
- Commercial Excellence: Build accurate quotes and get all the approvals lined up properly. Help shape proposals for bigger opportunities and flagship projects. Keep an eye on commercial reality while still delivering serious value.
- Relationship Management & Growth: Stay close to your clients with regular, meaningful touchpoints - not just status calls for the sake of it. Identify opportunities to suggest new and impactful ideas to create real success for clients. Be proactive in outreaching to prospective clients, introducing them to Kensa and our skillset.
- Creative Output: Have strong copywriting and proofreading skills to assist with project delivery. Create and share ideas with our internal team. Have insight into our industry and use this knowledge to support in the creation of campaigns and marketing deliverables for the agency. Bonus for experience within social media management, SEO or PPC.
You'll need to have:
- Essential: 2+ years' experience in marketing (in-house or agency side). Agency background is strongly preferred - you get the pace, deadlines and client expectations. Proven experience coordinating or managing projects from brief to delivery. Confident, clear communication and strong relationship building skills. Attention to detail plus a good head for the commercial side. Hands on experience with project management tools and organised file systems.
- Nice to Have: Experience writing copy across different platforms. Experience with tools like Teamwork, ActiveCollab or similar. Understanding of content performance, analytics, etc. Experience managing projects for both B2B and B2C clients. Strong copywriting and/or proofreading skills to support your projects.
What you'll get:
- A flexible, informal studio environment that cares about quality output more than presenteeism.
- 31 days' holiday including bank holidays, plus your birthday off (after 1 year of service).
- Benefits package including pension, healthcare cash plan and high spec kit.
- Training opportunities, free refreshments and regular team days.
- Bike to Work scheme.
- Free EV charging on site.
- Phone scheme.
- Buy additional holiday days.
- 4 day working week after probation.
