Kenny Recruit are looking for a Finance Director to join a growing SME drinks manufacturing company on a temporary to permanent basis. The business operates within a complex supply chain environment, managing production, freight, warehousing, and inventory across multiple channels. This role offers the opportunity to shape the financial strategy of the organisation while partnering closely with leadership to drive growth and operational excellence.
Important to note we’re looking for someone immediately available with significant senior finance experience, having previously operated as a Head of Finance, Finance Director or in a similar leadership role. We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader who can support business growth while ensuring strong financial controls and operational efficiency across the organisation.
As the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the finance function, leading financial planning and analysis while supporting strategic decision-making across the business. You will focus on operational finance, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes are in place. The role will also oversee financial operations related to stock, supply chain, logistics, freight, warehouse operations, and inventory management, ensuring financial visibility across the entire value chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, providing strategic financial leadership across the business.
- Oversee financial operations across the UK and Europe, supporting continued growth and expansion.
- Drive operational finance performance across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and inventory.
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate financial planning and performance tracking.
- Oversee the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making at leadership level.
- Partner with operations teams to improve financial visibility across freight, warehouse, stock, and logistics functions.
- Support senior leadership with strategic planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions.
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance across the organisation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or similar senior finance leadership role.
- Strong experience within stock-based businesses, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or consumer goods.
- Deep understanding of supply chain finance, freight, warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
- Experience improving financial processes, systems, and operational reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACCA or CIMA certification preferred.
