Kenny Recruit are looking for an experienced National Account Manager β B2B Retail to join one of their favourite clients! It's important to note we're looking for someone with experience managing and developing major UK retail accounts. This is a standalone position and will suit someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth and working strategically with key retail partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business in a newly created role where you'll have the autonomy to shape and develop key retail partnerships, influence commercial strategy and make a genuine impact on the future growth of the business.
As the National Account Manager β B2B Retail, you will take ownership of a portfolio of national retail relationships, developing strategic partnerships and ensuring long-term account growth. You'll work closely with customers to understand their commercial objectives, identify opportunities to expand product ranges and maximise distribution, while collaborating with internal teams to deliver outstanding service and commercial solutions.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of national retail accounts, building long-term strategic partnerships.
- Develop account plans that support customer objectives whilst delivering sustainable business growth.
- Identify opportunities to increase product listings, distribution and promotional activity within existing accounts.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across buying, commercial and category teams.
- Lead regular account reviews, presenting commercial insights, performance updates and future growth opportunities.
- Develop pricing proposals, business cases and joint commercial plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, operations and supply chain to deliver exceptional customer service and successful account outcomes.
- Monitor account performance, maintain accurate forecasting and provide regular reporting.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the retail portfolio through new strategic partnerships where appropriate.
- Support the continued growth of the business across UK and international retail markets.
Experience as a National Account Manager or Key Account Manager within a B2B retail environment, with exposure to sectors such as DIY, Lifestyle, Discount, Grocery and Electrical retail.
- Proven success managing and growing major retail accounts while building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience developing joint business plans and account growth strategies.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements, pricing and promotional activity.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify growth opportunities.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of a standalone role.
- Highly organised with excellent planning and account management skills.
- Experience working with UK retail customers is essential, while exposure to international retail markets would be advantageous.
