Kenny Recruit are working with a well-established international FMCG business to find an Accounting Assistant. Part of a successful European group, our client has a strong presence in the UK market and is seeking an experienced finance professional to be part of the UK finance function.

You will be assisting the Finance Manager by providing accurate and efficient day-to-day accounting support, assisting with the smooth running of the finance function.
Location: Basildon (4 days in the office)
Working hours: 8:30am - 5.30pm & 8.30am - 2.30pm on a Friday
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily bank reconciliations, including posting cash transactions
- Prepare and maintain aged debtor and creditor reports
- Update and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts
- Process sales orders as required
- Process and record stock receipts as required
- Manage the purchase ledger
- Process and monitor staff expenses
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end processes, including accruals, aged debt and creditor reconciliations
- Maintain prepayments
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Process bank payments, including regular payment runs and statutory payments
- Monitor cash and credit card expenses
- Raise purchase orders as required
- Manage petty cash transactions and records
- Set up new supplier and customer accounts
- Monitor customer credit limits and complete regular credit reviews
- Maintain and update financial records and accounting information as required
Requirements:
- Well xgikmsk organised, capable of coordinating with different teams
- Expeditious worker and have initiative
- Curious to study competition and best practices from other categories
- Knowledge of Excel and SAGE is advantageous
