Kenneth Brian Associates are currently recruiting for a Data Communications Technician to join a growing engineering team supporting a range of customer communications and IT infrastructure solutions. This is a varied technical role involving the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of data communication systems across both customer and internal environments. The successful candidate will assist with network deployments, troubleshoot complex technical issues and support the delivery of infrastructure projects. Hybrid working after successfully completing probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of customer network and communications solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults, escalating where appropriate.
  • Assist with the build, testing and deployment of infrastructure projects.
  • Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Support the evaluation and testing of new products and technologies.
  • Participate in customer site visits and installations when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching and firewall technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting IT and communications systems.
  • Knowledge of networking or telecommunications environments would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting technical projects and deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
