Kenneth Brian Associates is recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing business based in Croydon for an experienced and qualified Finance Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working autonomously, and supporting the wider business. Managing a team of 8, you'll be responsible for overseeing the finance function while acting as a trusted business partner across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of 8.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
- Produce annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple group companies.
- Oversee cash flow and payment processes, ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed credit terms.
- Manage customer credit checks and credit insurance arrangements.
- Provide commercial and financial support across the business, answering a wide range of operational and financial queries.
- Work closely with sales, operations and senior management to provide accurate information on areas such as pricing, stock availability and inventory.
- Participate in customer meetings where financial input is required.
