Our client, a well-established charity based in Canary Wharf, is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis. Working four days per week, with two days in the office and two days from home, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive organisation and play an important role within its finance function.

You will support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and on time, while maintaining strong financial controls and accurate records.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable invoices
  • Manage supplier invoices, staff expenses and payment requests
  • Monitor outstanding balances and support credit control
  • Complete bank and supplier reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Support month-end processes, including journals and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and clear audit trails
  • Respond to queries from internal teams and external suppliers
  • Provide general support to the wider finance team

About you:

  • At least 2 years' relevant accounts experience
  • Good understanding of accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations
  • Experience using Xero and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills
  • Proactive, positive and keen to contribute as part of a team
