The Role As the Accounts Senior, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services while building strong, long-term client relationships.
You will play an important role within the team, supporting junior staff and helping to ensure the highest standards of client service are maintained.
Key Responsibilities Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Preparing and submitting year-end accounts and VAT returns.
Producing accounts to review stage.
Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
Managing client expectations and leading year-end meetings to finalise accounts.
Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
Contributing to process improvements and helping to drive efficiencies across the team.
Maintaining high-quality client files and ensuring compliance with professional standards.
Requirements ACA, ACCA qualified or close to being qualified.
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing statutory accounts.
Experience using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, Quick Books, or Sage.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
