Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a new opportunity for a well-established M&E organisation, who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who comes from a mechanical background within Estimating/Quantity Surveying or even Contracts/Project Management.

The role will include:

  • Reviewing project plans, specifications and related documentation in order to understand scope of work and mechanical requirements
  • Analysing engineering drawings, blueprints and other technical documentation in order to provide an accurate estimate
  • Proposing an accurate and competitive estimate and budget which will include mechanical systems, labour, materials, equipment, permits and any other costs
  • Performing take-offs and quantity surveys of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems
  • Identifying potential risks and challenges and proposing effective solutions
  • Evaluating bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers

Who we are looking for:

  • Proven experience working within the mechanical and electrical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations and industry best practices

Please note you will need to commute to Epsom on a daily basis.
