Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a new opportunity for a well-established M&E organisation, who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who comes from a mechanical background within Estimating/Quantity Surveying or even Contracts/Project Management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing project plans, specifications and related documentation in order to understand scope of work and mechanical requirements.
  • Proposing an accurate and competitive estimate and budget which will include mechanical systems, labour, materials, equipment, permits and any other costs.
  • Performing take-offs and quantity surveys of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems.
  • Identifying potential risks and challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Evaluating bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working within the mechanical and electrical industry.
  • In depth knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations and industry best practices.
