Kenneth Brian Associates are excited to be working with a large client on a contracting basis to support a deployment project. We are looking for a field based network/telecoms engineer to visit clients' sites and conduct audits/site surveys across the south of England. We're seeking candidates with a background in structured cabling and network troubleshooting supporting BT appointments.
Role responsibilities:
- Visiting client sites daily, auditing and completing/creating floor plans site surveys and taking photos to reflect network layouts
- Liaising with the site contact arranging access for site visits required
- Installing & configuring wireless access points
- Creating change control for the physical site changes including AP installation, Paxton changes, Printer changes etc.
- Attending BT appointments on customer sites
- Installing, terminating, and testing network cabling
- Troubleshooting network issues and ensuring connectivity
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in network/telecoms engineering
- Experience conducting site surveys and audits
- Knowledge of IP ranges and various internet line types ethernet, SoGEA & SOADSL
- Networking knowledge (understanding of IP ranges and a good network knowledge including cabling)
- Strong understanding of cabling standards and fault diagnosis
- You must have your own car with business use insurance
