Kenneth Brian Associates are excited to be working with a large client on a contracting basis to support a deployment project. We are looking for a field based network/telecoms engineer to visit clients' sites and conduct audits/site surveys across the south of England. We're seeking candidates with a background in structured cabling and network troubleshooting supporting BT appointments.

Role responsibilities:

  • Visiting client sites daily, auditing and completing/creating floor plans site surveys and taking photos to reflect network layouts
  • Liaising with the site contact arranging access for site visits required
  • Installing & configuring wireless access points
  • Creating change control for the physical site changes including AP installation, Paxton changes, Printer changes etc.
  • Attending BT appointments on customer sites
  • Installing, terminating, and testing network cabling
  • Troubleshooting network issues and ensuring connectivity

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in network/telecoms engineering
  • Experience conducting site surveys and audits
  • Knowledge of IP ranges and various internet line types ethernet, SoGEA & SOADSL
  • Networking knowledge (understanding of IP ranges and a good network knowledge including cabling)
  • Strong understanding of cabling standards and fault diagnosis
  • You must have your own car with business use insurance

This is a field-based contract across different sites with consistent work. Immediate starts available for the right candidates.
