I am seeking a detail oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with CIS experience for a growing company in Coulsdon. The role would be part time and 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records with a focus on the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance with HMRC regulations, and supporting the smooth running of the company’s finances.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
- Manage CIS subcontractor registrations and verifications with HMRC.
- Calculate and process CIS deductions and prepare monthly CIS returns.
- Maintain purchase and sales ledgers.
- Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Process subcontractor payments and maintain payment records.
- Process Payroll.
- Deal with all VAT returns.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) processes and compliance.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero.
