Kenneth Brian Associates are working with an established and growing SME who is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function. This is a hands-on, 360° finance role reporting directly to a senior member of the management team. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the accounts function while also providing financial reporting, forecasting and commercial insight to support the continued growth of the business.
The Role
- Managing the Accounts Receivable function, including client invoicing and resolving invoice queries
- Managing supplier accounts and Accounts Payable
- Monitoring payments, expenditure and cash flow
- Carrying out regular bank reconciliations
- Managing employee expenses
- Coordinating payroll and subcontractor payments
- Producing detailed financial reports and cash flow/profitability forecasts
- Supporting senior management with financial planning and commercial decision-making
- Developing and implementing improved finance processes and systems
- Helping the business improve financial efficiency as it continues to grow
- Working closely with operational and client-facing teams
- Taking full ownership of the finance function and ensuring deadlines are met
About You
We're looking for an experienced accountant who is comfortable working across the full finance function and enjoys being hands-on. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Senior Accountant position
- Strong experience across AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll and cash flow
- Experience producing financial reports, budgets and forecasts
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks or similar
- An accounting qualification or relevant professional experience
You'll also need to be:
- Highly organised and commercially minded
- Confident communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
- Professional and personable
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Able to work at pace and manage competing priorities
